On 4th November, our club Public Relationship Chairperson, Leo Crystal Chew Yee Yuin had successfully organized our club installation.

Kill Two Birds With One Stone

Our club vice president, Leo Vivian Loh organized e recycling project on 11th November at school. The theme for this project is " Kill Two Birds With One Stone " which means beside the aim for make this project success, the none muslim girls can also finish their moral project. For those who are involve were informed to bring the recycle items from their home before the day of the project. When the project start, the members were asked to find or collect the recycling item around the school compound. Our faculty advisor, Madame Jasminder, called a lorry from outside to our school. All the recycling items were sold to the lorry man. We earned RM 30 from this project.

Keep The Sungai Kinta Clean

On 8th November, the environmental chairperson of Leo Club of Sam Tet, Leo Lai Tay Loong organized a regional project to clean the kinta river. Our president, Leo Sophia Lee attended the project. She is the only one of our club attended because the parents of the members not allow them to go. The incidents happened at kampar affected the attendance of the members.

Mini Dance Concert & Convent Talent 2

Last Saturday, 7/11/09, our club's Leo Esther Ng Chee Shin had succesfully organized the mini dance concert and convent talent 2. The mini dance concert organized with around 30 minutes dance performance by 4 dancers from our club. They used only 3 days to have practice at school as our final exam has just finish 3 days before the event.
Maybe some of you will confuse about the convent talent 2. It's a talent competition. This is the second time our school leo club organize it. So, it's call "Convent Talent 2".
Beside that, our president, Leo Sophia Lee was the champion of this competition during the season 1, who called, Miss Convent 2007. Now, she become 1 of the 4 judges for season 2.
Here are the result of the Convent Talent 2:-

Champion ~ Chew Ellie (the only solo)
1st Runner up ~ Bollywood Dancers (group)
2nd Runner Up ~ Angels Girls (group)
Special Gifts ~ Wong Zhi Ying & Loh Hoi Thong
80% will take from the marks that judges given and 20% will take from the votes by audience. By the way, the special gifts are chose by the board of directors 09/10.
The event start at 8.30 a.m and end by 11.30a.m.~our vice president preseting the momentoes to 1 of the judges, who is also our club president~

Happy Deepavali~

Last Saturday, 17th October 2009, we have a visit to our club's Indian member's house to celebrate Deepavali. Her family prepare some delicious foods for us. We have a enjoyable day at there.

Bowling Friendly Match

On 27th September 2009, the Leo Club of Ipoh Unity had organized a bowling friendly match. Congratulation to our incoming president, Leo Sophia Lee participated in the friendly match and immersed as champion. In her team came along with Leo Fan Sui Wan from Leo Club of Sam tet & Leo Tan Wu Jen from Leo Club of Ipoh Unity.Each of the winner was given a RM 10 cash voucher of the Coffee Bean.

Charity Food & Fun Fair

On 19^th September 2009, 6 members including the Organizing Chairperson and incoming Vice President, Leo Vivian Loh Wai Mun, incoming Public Relationship Chairperson, Leo Crystal Chew Yee Yuin, incoming School Service Chairperson, Leo Chin Pui Yan and 3 of the club members had gathered at the “Rumah Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Cacat Negeri Perak (RKKKC)” to work as volunteers and help in organizing the “Charity Food Fair and Fun Fair”. About one month before 19^th September 2009, the person in charge of the “Charity Food Fair and Fun Fair” had given us a task which is selling the coupons. On 18^th September 2009 night, we went there to offer our help in preparing for the “Charity Food Fair and Fun Fair” on the next day. We went there at 7.00p.m. and started our task. On 19^th September 2009, all of us went to RKKKC as early as 8.00a.m. Then, our incoming Organizing Chairperson gave a short briefing when all the members had arrived. After that, we started our job. When all the stalls were set up, we were given a new task which was to help in selling the old clothes, shoes and balloons. The “Charity Food Fair and Fun Fair” began sharp at 9.00a.m. After six hours of hard work, the “Charity Food Fair and Fun Fair” ended at 3.00p.m.. As all the other stalls had closed down, we made our last business and closed down our stall. We were managed to raise quite a large amount of funds for the Home.

5/9/09, Saturday, Leo Club of Sam Tet invited our club to their fellowship function.
6 of our club members including our incoming president, Leo Sophia Lee, incoming vice president, Leo Vivian Vivian Loh, fund-raising chairperson, Leo Janet Fork, school service chairperson, Leo Chin Pui Yan, and 2 of the club members attended the function. Postponement of Perak Joint Installation 2009

Dear Leos,
It is very unfortunate that our Region 4 LEO Joint Installation has been postponed to a later date. This is inline with the call from the Ministry of Education to avoid unnecessary public gatherings or extra curricular activities that can best be avoided as the status of the Influenza A-H1N1 is pretty serious in our country!
My beloved B.O.D and members,now,is the time where we can focus on building great ties with our school authorities, teachers, students and everyone in our school!Let's organize some school service project with bring some benefit to our school.We also can organize some competition as this is a suggestion of our DC.Lets have a discussion.SBC!Roll Roll Roll!

H1N1 flu deaths rise in Malaysia as govt scrambles to contain outbreak

KUALA LUMPUR : The death toll from H1N1 continues to rise in Malaysia despite the health ministry's on-going campaign to raise public awareness.

The flu has claimed more than 50 lives since the outbreak last month.

Seven more deaths were reported on Thursday. The victims include a four-month-old baby, and 92-year-old man.

Malaysia is waging an all out war against the H1N1 virus, after the number of deaths quadrupled last week.
Unfortunately, there was no respite despite the on-going campaign to raise public awareness.

Hundreds were admitted - mostly from high-risk groups namely the aged, children below five years old, and those with congenital or chronic heart or respiratory diseases.

Many schools were closed and government hospitals were swarmed with hundreds seeking treatment each day.

The Institute of Medical Research meanwhile is facing a bottleneck with thousands of swabs waiting to be tested.

As everyone knew the news, please take good care of yourself. We always hope everyone are safe and healthy. Drink more water, wash your hand before you eat and after touch anything and wear a mask if you are getting flu or cough. We should be a responsible Malaysian. Take care everyone.

Fellowship Trip

1/8/09,Saturday, we have a fellowship trip to Pangkor Island with the leos from Nan Hwa, Sam Tet, Yuk Kwan and SM Poi lam after stayed a night at Lumut. We enjoyed the trip. We rent a van and traveled Pangkor Island.

31/7/09,Friday,3 of our club members attended the Nan Hwa installation. We have a great time at there.

Co curia Day

25/7/09, Saturday, our incoming fund-raising chairperson, Leo Janet Fork Pui Hui has organized a food store during our school's co curia day to help school to raise fund. Every food has sold out very fast. The committees keep back the things to coco room then join others to play games. Besides that, our club was joining with our school Chinese society to perform a traditional dance. They including our incoming president, Leo Sophia Lee, outgoing president, Leo Chin Pui Mun and outgoing bulletin director, Leo Wince Wong. The video for the performance will upload here soon. Orientation Test

24/7/09, Friday,our incoming vice president, Leo Vivian Loh has organized a Orientation Test for the club members. We invited RCC Lion Mary Goh to conduct the seminar before the test. There are 23 members took part.After the test, we presented a bunch of rose to RCC Lion Mary Goh.The result will announce soon.We hope every member can pass the test.

The Dark Parade

The Dark Parade, out International Relationship Day has success organized by our incoming secretary, Leo Mak Lai Cheng. Our function held in our school as this is the first time for the leos from other clubs visit our school. There are 11 leo clubs attended our function. There are Leo Club of Sam Tet, Ave Maria Convent, Pei Yuan, Yuk Kwan, Anderson, St. Michael, SM Poi Lam, Idris Shah, ACS Kampar, Nan Hwa and Ipoh Unity. Every performance are performed by our own school students. We have recorded a video of the whole function in a vcd to sell as only RＭ５for each.
